So I just went through my old blogs and discovered that I used to write...a LOT. I haven't been consistent in journaling, scrapbooking, or documenting anything in a very, very, very long time! That's going to change. I think it will help me heal completely and remember things I want to remember and probably a few things I don't.
Also, there was an entire blog that I wrote that I have zero recollection of creating! That's exactly why I keep momentos because otherwise my life would blow away like dust in the desert and no one would even know it was there to begin with...

Mother's Day
I had to create a brand new blog just to remember the wonderful Mother's Day I had yesterday with Bauer and Cadance! They made me feel so special! Both of them were so excited the day and night before that I wondered if they were confusing Mother's Day with Christmas...
But no, I woke up to clinking in the kitchen, and cupboards being repeatedly opened and closed, but having just sold all of our pots and pans yesterday, I wasn't sure what they could be doing in there. Turns out Bauer had brewed me coffee and served it just the way I liked it while Cadance had (at Bauer's behest) decorated a leftover frozen cake from her birthday party with almond butter as frosting and Milk Duds and Snickers as toppings! They had also chosen Pie Face Sky High to give me and a Fairy Bath Bomb. I am blessed to have those two as my own!
We went hiking with Erica and Remy at Fryman's Canyon (first time for us) and then perused the Farmer's Market for a while sampling delicious expensive food and only purchasing a small portion of it. We found this absolutely delicious yogurt that was so sweet and creamy I thought I was eating dessert! Fresh squeezed orange juice, strawberries that tasted like sunshine, and dates that absolutely melted in my mouth were among my favorites. But we also had fresh make salsa and guacamole, apples, oranges, tangerines, white peaches (which were fantastic and I don't even like peaches), empanadas, almond milk, cashew cheese, carrots and snap peas, and vegan, gluten-free cookies! Sorry Cadance, I didn't even plan to share those...
Then we couldn't pass up frozen yogurt and Yogurtland before heading home. We picked up some whipped cream so we could play our new game which got quite a few laughs out of all of us! That's the most fun I've had playing Pie Face but it might have been due to the fact that I hadn't showered and didn't care about making a mess (which we did)! Whipped cream was everywhere! The game, the floor, our clothes, faces, hair, you name it! We ended up using the entire can and both Bauer and Cadance were disappointed we couldn't play longer.
After that we had a clean up party (my favorite) and then put a couple puzzles together, ate strawberries and cream while playing Brain Quest, and then watched Harry Potter while I got a shoulder massage from Bauer and a foot massage from Cadance. I could not have asked for anything more! It was an absolutely marvelous Mother's Day and I felt refreshed and rejuvinated and my heart was bursting with love for my (not-so) little ones! What I did to deserve them I don't know, but I want to live up to their expectations of being the BEST MOM in the world because they surely deserve it!
